About eduroam

Eduroam is a popular worldwide network access service which is implemented on a federated basis. Participating organisations connect to national authentication systems and overlay eduroam network services, which adere to comprehensive and strict technical standards.

Essentially, eduroam provides the user with authenticated network login and access to the Internet through a single Wi-Fi profile and set of credentials, wherever the service is made available by participating organisations. Once configured, connection is seamless and automatic.

Where can I use eduroam at the University?

Eduroam is available across the Henley Business School Greenlands campus, the Malaysia Menara Kotaraya facility, and in selected buildings at the London Road and Whiteknights campuses in Reading.

On 28th October 2013, the University approved a capital project to improve and extend the Wi-Fi coverage across the University's estates. The status of this project, including projected installation dates for each building, is published here.

On the map, click on the building to see the available coverage level:

  • Green: Good coverage in all areas.
  • Orange: Coverage varies in different parts of the building.
  • Grey: No coverage yet.
